Every major software methodology shift — TDD, DevOps, CI/CD — was ultimately about compressing feedback loops. AI coding has just shattered the speed of code generation while doing nothing to improve the quality of feedback. This talk proposes Observability-Driven Development (ODD) as the missing practice: instrumenting not just production, but every stage of the SDLC with runtime-deep signals so that AI-generated code is validated at the same speed it's produced. The argument is that without this, AI doesn't accelerate software delivery — it just accelerates technical debt.
