DESCRIPTION:Kernel validation on real hardware is still a highly **manual a
nd iterative process**. Engineers must repeatedly select system images\, p
 rovision hardware boards\, flash devices\, configure test environments\, a
nd execute tests to reproduce issues and validate fixes.\n\nIn this talk\,
I present an ongoing effort to **automate this validation loop using AI a
gents**. Instead of automating isolated steps\, we treat kernel validation
as a **continuous feedback system** and design agents to orchestrate the
entire workflow.\n\nWe will cover:\n\n- **Decomposing the kernel validatio
n loop** into automatable stages \n- Designing **agent-driven workflows**
for image selection\, hardware provisioning\, flashing\, and test executi
on \n- Integrating with existing tools such as **tmt and hardware lab inf
rastructure** \n- Supporting **iterative debugging workflows** for reprod
ucing issues and validating fixes \n- Lessons learned from applying this
approach in **ARM-based kernel validation environments**\n\nThis talk focu
ses on real-world engineering challenges\, including **hardware constraint
s**\, **non-deterministic failures**\, and **flaky tests**. It demonstrate
s how AI can coordinate complex workflows while keeping **humans in the lo
 op for critical decisions**.
