DESCRIPTION:Internal Developer Platforms aim to create golden paths\, reduc
e cognitive load\, and standardize how teams build and operate software. B
 ut there’s a blind spot: documentation.\n\nREADMEs\, onboarding guides\,
and operational runbooks are often treated as static artifacts. Over time
they drift from reality — even as the platform itself evolves. The resu
lt is slower onboarding\, brittle self-service workflows\, and increased s
upport burden on platform teams.\n\nIn this talk\, I’ll explore document
ation as an unverified surface within Internal Developer Platforms — and
introduce a practical approach to making it executable.\n\nBy treating ma
rkdown instructions and runbooks as workflows that can be executed and val
idated inside CI or ephemeral environments\, platform teams can detect dri
ft automatically. Setup steps\, service bootstrapping commands\, and healt
h checks become verifiable contracts rather than informal guidance.\n\nWe
’ll cover:\n• Why documentation drift increases cognitive load and sup
port tickets\n• How to integrate executable documentation into platform
pipelines\n• How this approach strengthens golden paths and reduces onbo
arding time\n• What changes in platform team workflows when documentatio
n becomes testable\n\nInternal platforms shouldn’t just provide paved ro
ads — they should guarantee that the map is accurate
