DESCRIPTION:Migrating hundreds of virtual machines from vSphere to OpenShif
 t Virtualization is\nnot just a lift-and-shift exercise -- it demands repe
 atable\, auditable\, multi-cluster\ninfrastructure that can be stood up an
 d torn down with confidence. In this talk\, we\npresent a reference implem
 entation of a GitOps-driven "migration factory" that\nprovisions bare-meta
 l OpenShift clusters\, installs 25+ day-2 operators\, and\norchestrates VM
  migrations -- all from a single Git repository.\n\nWe will walk through h
 ow a hub-and-spoke architecture is fully declared in Git and\nreconciled b
 y ArgoCD using an app-of-apps pattern with sync waves to enforce\nordering
  across operators\, instances\, and configurations. You will see how Advan
 ced\nCluster Management (ACM) provisions spoke clusters via Assisted Insta
 ller\, how an\nACM policy bootstraps GitOps on each new spoke\, and how a 
 custom ArgoCD\nmanagement plugin (CMP) performs environment-variable subst
 itution so that a\nsingle set of reusable Kustomize components can target 
 any cluster.\n\nThrough a live demo\, we will stand up the full stack -- f
 rom an empty hypervisor to a\nrunning hub with two spoke clusters ready to
  accept migrated VMs -- and show the\nend-to-end automation pipeline that 
 ties it all together. We will also share the hard\nlessons learned around 
 sync-wave ordering\, secret management across cluster\nboundaries\, bare-m
 etal networking with MetalLB and NMState\, and keeping\ndrift-free state a
 cross multiple ArgoCD instances.\n\nAttendees will walk away with a concre
 te\, open-source blueprint they can fork and\nadapt to their own virtualiz
 ation migration efforts\, along with patterns for scaling\nGitOps beyond a
  single cluster.
