Job title –Sr. Manager, Community Outreach, Open Source Program Office
Session
Sustainability in an open source project means ensuring that the project continues to thrive, grow, and remain useful over the long term. This involves having a strong and active community of contributors who regularly update the project, fix bugs, and add new features. It also means having clear guidelines and documentation so new contributors can easily get involved. Financial support, whether through donations, sponsorships, corporate participation, or grants, helps cover costs and support ongoing development.
In this talk, Red Hat OSPO's Brian Proffitt will outline what sustainability means for open source projects and communities, and the best practices in achieving that sustainability.
