DESCRIPTION:Talking about Network observability brings to mind horror stori
es of dealing with vendor MIBs\, SNMP traps not firing or NetFlow overwhel
ming your backbone. Technologies like SNMP and NetFlow can be very useful
but don't integrate well in a cloud native context.\n\nOne way to moderniz
e network observability is with the [OpenTelemetry eBPF Instrumentation Pr
 oject (OBI)](https://github.com/open-telemetry/opentelemetry-ebpf-instrume
ntation). While its main focus is on applications\, it also contains an en
tire subsystem dedicated to _Network Observability_!\n\nThis talk showcase
s how OBI can be used to monitor Kubernetes & cloud provider network relat
ionships to help you diagnose issues which might go unnoticed otherwise. A
fter that\, we'll explore how OBI can be used outside and beyond Kubernete
s as well. We'll also uncover how eBPF is used to gather these metrics and
  what to optimize for.
