Do you have a favorite open source project that you use everyday? And now be honest, as a user, have you ever contributed to it? No?
For many, contributing to open source feels synonymous with writing code. During this talk, I would like to encourage both users and maintainers to start thinking about it differently. I'll share tips on how we as users can help project maintainers with increasing awareness of the projects and building better community by providing feedback, writing or presenting about our experience, or suggesting a small improvement of documentation. Also I'll also give a tips to maintainers on how to ask for help and improve their contributing guides.
Whether you code or not, your unique perspective can help open source projects. Let's break the barriers and start contributing to open source.
Beginner - no experience needed
I am a community architect at Red Hat, Open Source Program Office, where I work with open source projects related to Red Hat cloud native technologies and help them grow their open source communities. And my friends consider me as a bicycle freak and I don't blame them :)
