Performance Engineering for many companies is an afterthought, however at Red Hat, Performance Engineering is a key contributor to product readiness. Developers across the OpenShift Product portfolio can easily execute Performance and Scale workloads against PRs they introduce, before the feature merges downstream! In this talk we will go over the tooling, strategies and details of how the OpenShift Performance and Scale Team has shifted their Performance and Scale testing totally left.

Currently working as performance software engineer, has transitioned through Cloud Consultant, Architect and Technical Lead roles for NFV-related projects at Red Hat. BE in Computer Engineering from University of A Coruña (Spain) and PhD from Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo (Brazil). During MsC and PhD studies, worked on QoS routing in SDN and NFV Management and Orchestration.
Has been designing and implementing IaaS/PaaS solutions, namelly OpenStack and Kubernetes/OpenShift, for the last 7 years, and teaching postgraduate courses for the last 5 years.
