DESCRIPTION:Over the last few years\, the Telco space has seen a great amou
nt of change in the way their workloads are deployed. Starting from purpos
e-built hardware appliances\, they evolved into virtualized network functi
ons\, and now containerized network functions (CNFs).\n\nSome of these con
tainerized network functions are deployed on the Far Edge\, away from a ce
ntralized datacenter\, and come with their ownset of requirements and chal
lenges for a successful implementation.\n\nIn this session\, we will highl
ight the areas where CNFs add special requirements to Kubernetes/OpenShift
\, and the strategies put in place to tackle these challenges in real-life
deployments.\n\nSome of the topics we will cover:\n\n- Overview of CNF-ba
sed RAN architecture\n- Special requirements for Distributed Unit (DU) CNF
s\n- OpenShift functionality for Telco Edge deployments\n- Reducing comple
xity for RAN deployments using a Reference Design Specification\n- What’
s next for RAN containerized deployments on the edge
